In
1969 Prince Charles was barely 21 years old.
His mother, the Queen of England gave him
a brand-new Aston Martin DEB5, a car that
ranks first in the dream-list of any English person who considers
himself stylish and sporty.
At that age, the young heir did not lose a chance to show
off in front of the "paparazzi", who were
already after him and his convertible sports car. This image
of the Prince turned him into such an icon, and became such
an image of his best times, that he even placed his future
wife, Lady D, posing suggestively on the
hood of the car.

Now, without Lady D, but with the same love
for his toy, Charles still drives this version
of the car, the same in which Sean Connery
rose to fame in the movie Goldfinger
But today the car has been transformed: in order to reduce
18 % of its CO2 emissions its engine had
to be adapted to the use of bioethanol fuel, produced with
white wine and an addition of a derived product from the cheese
elaboration.
According to The Times, those who see him
drive through the London streets say that
the car actually smells like vodka (strange, though, since
one of the main advantages of vodka is that it is odourless,
as every wife who checks on her husband’s breath after
a British party night is well aware of.)
The Prince of Wales spent over 6,300
Euros on converting the engine of his Aston
Martin, which belongs to his growing fleet of cars
that includes two Audis, two Jaguars
and a Land Rover.
Charles became a convinced ecologist, and in the same way
as Al Gore, he is working on a documentary
that will be called Harmony Proyect.
Michael Peat, principal private secretary
to the heir prince explained to the press that the wine used
as fuel comes from the family’s own vineyard, from Wiltshire
county.
Thanks goodness: in England there are
almost no good wines.
