Internal consumption dropped in May

According to estimate figures from the Federal institute for the grape-growing and wine making industry in Argentina, in May this year the shipments of wine destined to internal consumption dropped an approximate 6.67 %with respect to the same month in 2007

The Federal institute for the grape-growing and wine making industry (INV) reported that the authorized May sales for the internal market consumption reached an amount of 900,481.42 hl, which represents a 6.46% drop with respect to the same month the previous year.

The shipment of fractioned wine dropped by 6.46% with respect to May, 2007. The drop was of 9.19% in demijohns, 7.15% in bottled wine, 5.13 % in tetra brick and 40.13% in other containers. The bulk wine shipments experienced a drop of 44.45%.
